However this is the case with every dvd i have ever tried this with. DVDs have many kinds of copy protection. Encryption of the digital data, Macromedia protection, and simple protection codes that prevent you from making copies where the hardware would allow it, e.g. copying through the optical output. This is the case with almost all dvds. I have only seen one or two dvds that were not heavily copy protected (The french film Taxi is the only one i remember right now). Most MGM films don't have macrovision but have css. While many studios such as Sony have macrovision and css. Again nearly all prevent copying the audio. This can be bypassed with a hardware device that removes the copyprotection bit from the audio stream. The cheap ones remove track marks, the expensive ones don't. | ||
